Property Registration

If you have valuable items that can be stolen and are identifiable by serial number or other unique markings, you can help protect them via our property registration program. We will take the relevant information about your item to assist in identifying it in the event it is lost or stolen. You can also use property registration for filing a report with local police departments and/or for insurance purposes.

If you keep a bicycle, ebike or motorized scooter on campus, we highly recommend that you register it through this program. Other frequently registered items include phones, laptops and other high-value electronic items.

To register, please complete a property registration form and submit via email to pubsafe@risd.edu. We will contact you to register your item and attach a decal that will enable recovery of your item.
